VISION
New Outlook Financial envisions a society that is ecologically restorative, socially just, and equitably prosperous.  Through our business practices, our work in sustainable personal finance, and our work in our community we are making steps toward sustainability.  It is a journey we are excited to undertake and we recognize that we have a long way to go.
 
ACTION
In order to achieve this vision, we created an action plan to guide our actions. A few of these include:
  1. Use 100% recycled or FSC paper
  2. Minimize paper use
  3. Commute by bike or public transportation
  4. Use Energy Star rated office machines
  5. Encourage digital document exchange when appropriate
  6. Choose sustainable vendors/supplies whenever possible

To stay connected to current sustainability ideas and issues we maintain membership and relationships with the following organizations:

Member, Oregon Natural Step Network. The Natural Step (TNS) is a framework grounded in natural science that serves as a guide for businesses, communities, educators, government entities, and individuals on the path toward sustainable development. The Network provides us with information and inspiration for our organizations journey toward sustainability.
 
Member, 1% for the Planet  1% is an alliance of businesses committed to leveraging their resources to create a healthier planet. As a member, we recognize our responsibility to and dependence on a healthy environment and donate at least 1% of our annual revenue to environmental organizations worldwide.

Member, Sustainable Business Network of Portland The Sustainable Business Network of Portland is the only alliance of locally-owned, independent businesses, community organizations and individuals dedicated to fostering a truly sustainable local economy in the Portland metropolitan area.
 
Member, First Affirmative Financial Network First Affirmative is a recognized leader in the field of socially responsible investing (SRI).  Each year since 1990 they have spearheaded the SRI in the Rockies Conference, a gathering of financial, environmental and social leaders who are working to move our economy toward sustainability.  Our participation in the Network allows us to help shape the future of Sustainable Investing.
 
Member, US SIF: The Forum for Sustainable and Responsible Investment US SIF is a national nonprofit membership organization promoting the concept, practice and growth of socially responsible investing.
